GENESIS Licensing Overview
Your GENESIS license determines the features that you have permission to use based on what you have purchased. You can purchase GENESIS licenses with various sets of entitlements. To use the purchased entitlements, you must activate your license.
When you activate a license, you can bind it in one of two ways: as a software license tied to the computer where it is activated, or as a USB security key license tied to a portable key that you can move between computers. Both provide the same license entitlements.

Entitlements are different from the security permissions that determine the features that you have permission to use based on your user credentials. Security permissions are defined by a system administrator and can be changed, while licensing permissions are determined when you purchase the software.
