Setting Up Configuration Databases

When setting up a project database in the Configure System utility, you also need to set up the databases for individual server configurations of all the installed GENESIS components that use databases. You have the following options:

  • When connecting to an existing project database, the configuration utility automatically uses the existing server configurations, typically saved in a unified database associated with the selected project database. Learn more

    This option is only available if an existing database from the previous GENESIS installation is detected.

  • When creating a new project database:

    • Use an existing unified database (if available). Learn more
    • Use a new unified database. Learn more
    • Create each configuration in its own database. Learn more

      This is an advanced option that may require additional settings since many server configurations need to be stored in the same (unified) database.
