TraceWorX Overview

TraceWorX provides runtime diagnostics and tuning of applications in the GENESIS system. It is designed for system integrators, OEMs, and customers who want tools for doing their own troubleshooting and diagnostics if they encounter issues or unexpected behaviors when using GENESIS. Trace log files include useful diagnostic information that you can provide when you contact Customer Support at Mitsubishi Electric Iconics Digital Solutions. Nevertheless, it is not recommended to have TraceWorX turned on constantly because it may put additional load on your system resources. If you are just wanting to track normal operating activities in your system, you should use the GenEvent feature in GENESIS instead of TraceWorX.

TraceWorX tracks the runtime activity for each GENESIS application and writes diagnostic data to a log file based on user configured trace levels. The log file provides a thorough report detailing all activity for the application, including the time, the date, the severity level, and the description of the event or problem.
