TraceWorX Overview

TraceWorX provides runtime diagnostics and tuning of the GENESIS components. It is designed as a tool for system integrators, OEMs, and customers who want to perform their own troubleshooting and diagnostics when they encounter issues or unexpected behavior when using GENESIS. Trace log files contain useful diagnostic information that you can provide to Mitsubishi Electric Iconics Digital Solutions Customer Support.

However, we do not recommend keeping the trace logging constantly enabled, since it may put additional load on your system resources. For tracking standard operating activities in your system, use the GenEvent feature in GENESIS instead.

TraceWorX tracks runtime activity for each GENESIS application on a user-configured trace level and writes diagnostic data to a log file. The log file provides a detailed report of the application’s activity, including time, date, severity level, and description of the event or issue.
