Alert Sierra Configuration Overview

Using an Alert Sierra configuration, you can enable remote notifications of process data and facilitate acknowledgment of alarms. Alert Sierra sends and receives SMS messages through Sierra Airlink modems. Alert Sierra is triggered from the Bridging or Connected Field Service workflows.

To configure Alert Sierra, you need to:

• Set up a Sierra Airlink modem
• Configure the Alert Sierra service
• Update the FwxServer.PointManagers configuration file
