Adding Flow Indicator Equipment Class Properties

Each tank has an input and output flow indicator. After creating the equipment class for the flow indicator (FL_IND), you need to add the measured value (MV) property.

To add a Flow Indicator equipment class property:

  1. In the Project Explorer pane in Workbench, expand Assets > Equipment classes > Tank Farm Classes.

  2. Right-click FL_IND and select Add Equipment class property. The equipment class property pane appears.

  3. For each tab, add the measured value property parameters specified in the following table.

    Tab Name

    Enter or select the following properties…

    General

    • Name: MV
    • Display Name: m3/h
    • Description: Flow Indicator m3/h

    Real-time Data

    • Source type: Real-time Data Source
    • Real-time data source: /?PARAM_MV?/

    Historical Data

    • Source type: Historical Tag

  4. Click Apply & Close. The Flow Indicator (FL_IND) equipment class with properties is complete.
