Configuring Alarms for Equipment Class Properties
Alarms are necessary for the Tank equipment class property to monitor malfunctions or abnormal operating conditions. Historical data records and analyzes alarms and other operating conditions over time to provide insight into trends, patterns, and equipment performance.
You can monitor real-time and historical data for abnormal conditions, events, or equipment malfunctions and set alarms for visible or audible notifications as needed. It is important to prioritize critical alarms to avoid overwhelming your organization with notifications.
For the Start-Up Guide, historical data is enabled with default settings for all equipment class properties except for alarms. You will configure alarms for two Tank properties: Inner Pressure and Temperature.
After you finish the configuration, run the Bulk Asset Configurator again to apply the changes to your equipment properties.
