Adding a Send Email Redirector to a Report

An email redirector sends an email notification when a report is finished, optionally including the report as an attachment.

To send an email using an email redirector, you need the following prerequisites:

  • A working default email node is configured under Alarms and NotificationsAlert NotificationsEmail Nodes. Learn more
  • GENESIS Alert Notifications Point Manager is running.

To add an email redirector to your report:

  1. Open Workbench and in Project Explorer, expand your project > Reports > Configurations > your configuration, right-click the desired report, and select Edit.
  2. On the Redirector Commands tab, select Click here to add new item.
  3. In the Selected rule settings panel in Command Type, select Send Email.
  4. Enter the desired Subject, Message, and To email address.
  5. In Attach report as select the desired report format.
  6. In Execute Command On, select the condition for executing the redirector, and then click Apply.
  7. To test your file redirector, right-click your report in Project Explorer and select Test Report. When the test completes, check the recipient's email address for your report.
