Configuring a Dataset

This topic describes creating a dataset that defines the data for export.

To configure a data export dataset:

  1. Open Workbench and in the Project Explorer pane, expand your project > Alarms and Notifications > Alarm Historian > Data Exporters.
  2. Right-click the Datasets folder and select Add Dataset.
  3. In the Name field, enter the desired name of the dataset.

  4. On the Columns tab, use the Add and Remove buttons to set up the dataset's columns. You can use the following predefined columns:
    • time
    • severity
    • source
    • message
    • state
  5. On the Collections tab, click Add and select an existing collection from the CollectionID drop-down list.

    If you create a new collection and it is not displayed in the list, click next to the CollectionID field.

  6. When finished, click Apply to create the new dataset.
