What's New in the 10.98 Release

10.98 is the most tested, secure, and feature-rich release to date of GENESIS64. It brings forward years of rigorous testing and quality of life improvements to produce a robust, stable software platform.

  • Issues identified from previous GENESIS64 versions have been resolved in the 10.98 release. For a detailed account of fixes, see the Resolved Issues list.

  • Mitsubishi Electric Iconics Digital Solutions maintains an active stance on keeping the platform up to date with the latest security practices. Follow the latest advisories and updates here.

  • The GENESIS64 Suite 10.98 release includes the following new features and enhancements:

    Common and Platform Services

An all-new installer that simplifies the deployment process and brings GENESIS64 into greater alignment with the next generation GENESIS platform.

The OPC Local Discovery Server (LDS) is no longer included in the installation process.

All services and point managers have been upgraded to .NET 10.

The weeknumber() function now returns week 1 for December 31 (support for ISO 8601 week numbers).

The Security Challenge feature has been removed to further enhance platform security. Users are advised to review the practices outlined in Safeguarding Security Server Access to ensure that they maintain access to their Security Server now that the Security Challenge tool is not available. This also affects use of the feature for unlocking encrypted GraphWorX64 displays and Pack and Go files.

    HTML5 WebHMI

Added a new option, AccountRateLimiter, in ico.anyglass.parsing.config. When the limit is set to a non-zero value, the per-client limiter is used for the login and change password endpoint. We recommend setting this option when database-based security is in use and the application is accessible to the public.

    Mitsubishi Electric FA

Added support for connection to FX5S devices.

    Internet of Things

Optimizations have been made to the IoT Publisher and IoT Subscriber to provide steadier and more efficient performance with large volumes of data. Additionally, focus point diagnostics have been added to enhance monitoring of system performance..

    BACnet

Added support for changing the location of the BACnet logged trend data in the Logger System Settings dialog.

Added support for COLDSTART and ACTIVATE_CHANGES for ReinitializeDevice.

    CFSWorX

Added support for OAuth 2.0 authentication for use with Office 365-based notifications.

    AlertWorX

Replaced the AlertGSender service with a new GmailAuthenticator for use with Gmail-based SMTP messaging. To use it, a new email node should be added to AlertWorX in the Workbench and settings should be provided as described in Working with Gmail SMTP.
