Licensing Overview

Your license determines what features and functions you have permission to use in your ICONICS Suite software based on what you have purchased. These permissions can also be referred to as "entitlements."

This is different from security, which determines which features and functions you have permission to use based on your user credentials. Security permissions can be defined and changed by the system administrator, but licensing permissions are determined when you purchase the software.

ICONICS licenses come with different durations, and different sorts of entitlements, based on what was purchased.

To use the entitlements from your license, it must first be activated. It can be activated to one of several formats, including software, hardware, or cloud.

An activated license can be deactivated to store or transfer it.

You can view an activated license in the License Monitor or any license using the ICONICS Web Licensing site.
