Configure Modules for IoT Edge Device

Users can use these configuration forms to see what modules are on the devices to deploy ICONICS (and custom) modules to the device.

Available Modules with Advanced Settings

Checking the Show Advanced Settings checkbox at the bottom of the Configure Modules dialog enables the Container Registry Settings and Deployment Options.

In the Container Registry Settings, the container registry credentials might be specified. This is needed only if the custom container registry for the deployed modules is used and login to that container registry is required.

The Deployment Options section allows to specify the IoTWorX modules versions and Azure Edge modules settings:

Version: the version of the IoTWorX modules to be deployed to IoT device.
Override Label: the version might be customized here.
Edge Agent Version: the version of Azure Edge Agent module to be deployed.
Edge Hub Version: the version of Azure Edge Hub module to be deployed.
Store and Forward Configuration TTL: Store and forward time to live period (in seconds). This is a setting for the device offline mode - while the IoT device is disconnected from IoT Hub, all telemetry bound upstream to IoT Hub is stored locally on the device. The storage of messages depends on the time to live (TTL) setting and the available disk space for storing the messages.

Container Registry Settings

+ Click here to add new item - Click this link to add a new container registry. You can then enter a Name, Address, Username, and Password in the respective column fields.

Deployment Options

Version -Use the pulldown menu to select the ICONICS product version number associated with the device settings.
Architecture - Use the pulldown menu to select the architecture associated wit the device settings.

Deployment Modules

(Click to add a module) - Opens the Module Settings properties.

The Deployment Modules provides a Name, Type, Desired Status, Restart Policy, Deploy, Advanced Settings, and Deploy Status for each module.

Click on the checkbox in the Deploy column for each module you wish to deploy. Clicking the Advanced Settings link in any module's row opens the Module Settings for that module.

Remove existing modules if they are not selected - Click this checkbox if you wish to delete any modules from this list that you have not selected them for deployment.

Once you have made your settings, click on the Deploy button, then Close in order to return to the Workbench.
