Updating Applications

The Update Applications mechanism in Workbench updates the GENESIS license per component. It is used to adequate a SCADA application (a project) with the available components. A common use case is migrating from GENESIS Basic SCADA to full GENESIS or upgrading from version 10.97.3 to version 11.

Workbench can automatically detect license changes on the components in a project and update the system and the active project according to the new license information.

• If a component that is available in the active project is not licensed anymore, it is removed from the project and the component servers are stopped and disabled.
• If an application that is not available in the active project has a valid license now, it is added to the project and the component servers are automatically enabled and started.

The Update Applications button is available on the Project ribbon in the Project Tools section.
