Product Security Requirements

• GENESIS installations require local administrator privileges to run.
• Administrator users should have the required permissions to perform the following actions:
  • Install the third-party installation prerequisites as identified in the System Requirements.
  • Install and configure files to the following folders:

    • The installation destination folder which can be chosen by the user. The default folder is:

      [SystemDrive]\Program Files\ICONICS\GENESIS64

    • [SystemDrive]\[ProgramData]\ICONICS\11
    • Create and configure GENESIS virtual applications and application pools in Internet Information Services (IIS).
  • Create and configure the GENESIS SQL Server databases.
  • Create and change the registry entries.
  • Open the ports—See the topic on Port Security.
  • Set the "Log on as a service" policy.
