Exporting a Time Range On Demand

A synchronization task exports only the data logged since its previous run. To export an earlier time range, such as data logged before you created the task or a range you want to export again after changing a dataset, add an on-demand export in Data Exporter Tasks Management.

To export a time range on demand:

  1. Open Workbench and in Project Explorer, expand your project > Historical Data > Data Historian > Product Configuration.

  2. Double-click Data Exporter Tasks Management.

  3. In the Storage Management section, select . The Add/Edit the Task dialog opens.

Select Use Saved Task to load the settings you last saved with Save Task Settings.

  4. In the Execution Time section:

    • Select Now to start the export when you apply it

    • Clear Now and select a date and time in Date

  5. In the Calculation Interval section, select Start Time and End Time and set the range to export. If you clear either one, the export uses the first available sample or the most recent sample for that end of the range.

  6. Select the exports to run:

    • To limit the export to some tasks, select Task Filter, and then select to select a task, or enter a name. You can use the wildcards *, ?, and [a-z].

    • To limit the export to some storages, select Storage Filter, and then select or enter the storage names in the same way.

  7. (Optional) Select Delete Old Values to replace data that the storage already holds for the same timestamps.

  8. Select OK, and then select Apply.
