OPC UA Troubleshooting FAQs
The following table describes issues that may occur when connecting to an OPC UA server via GENESIS.
|
Issue |
Solution |
|---|---|
|
Unable to make connection to OPC UA server on remote machine |
Confirm that the OPC UA Point Manager service is running on the GENESIS machine. |
|
BadCertificateInvalid (BadCertificateTimeInvalid [0x80140000]) |
The OPC UA certificate has expired. Generate a new OPC UA certificate. |
|
The domain {{domain}} is not listed in the server certificate. (2148925440) |
This is usually caused by the IP Address being used instead of the machine name. To allow this connection to be made select the Disable Domain Check option on the OPC UA connection to disable the comparison of the endpoint and the certificate. The Disable Domain Check should only be used in trusted and secure environments. |
|
Error received from remote host (BadSecurityChecksFailed) |
Ensure that the FrameWorX Server certificate is not in the rejected folder for the OPC UA server. |
|
Cannot connect to the OPC UA server. |
Make sure that the connection to the OPC UA server is using a username and password and ensure that the username and password are correct in Workbench. |
