Alarm Acknowledgment via Notifications Overview

In GENESIS, alarms trigger workflows in Bridging or Connected field Services. These workflows can be set up the to send acknowledge notifications, using the following GENESIS services.

• GENESIS Alert Notifications REST Point Manager

  The service integrates with GENESIS Web API Service for webhook support, which some providers need to support alarm acknowledgment. Incoming acknowledgments are handled via the webhooks supported by the Web API service. From there, the alarm acknowledgment details are handed to the Alert Notifications REST service for further verification, and then finally passed to and acknowledged by Connected Field Services or Bridging.

• GENESIS Alert Notifications Sierra Point Manager

  Incoming acknowledgments are verified in the Alert Notifications Sierra service and then passed to and acknowledged by Connected Field Services or Bridging.
