View Alarms Adjusted to the Local Time Zone
You may wish to view the alarm records from the Alarm Historian in a local time zone. For example: your client is in the Eastern US time zone (UTC-5) and your alarm server and logger are in Central US time zone (UTC-6). An alarm occurs at 3:00 Central. If you want to view this alarm record in your local time (3:00), then adjusting the time zone viewed can help.
The Alarm Historian stores time zone information for alarm records on a per alarm basis. Make sure your alarms have the correct time zone set in the BaseEventType.TimeZone field. If you are using asset-integrated alarms, the alarm will automatically use the time zone of the associated equipment. If the time zone field is not set by the alarm server, the Alarm Historian will use the time zone of the computer where the collector is running.
