Configuring Storage

This topic describes creating a SQL-based storage where the exported data is stored.

To configure a data export storage:

1. Open Workbench and in the Project Explorer pane, expand your project > Alarms and Notifications > Alarm Historian > Data Exporters.
2. Right-click the Storages folder and select Add Storage.

3. In the Name field, enter SqlStorage.

   

4. In Connection Type, select SQL/Azure SQL and click the Configure Connection link.
5. In the Connection Settings dialog in Database, select the database connection string to store the data.
6. Click Next to close the dialog, and then click Apply. The new storage is available.
