ReportWorX Express (ReportWorX64) Ribbon in Microsoft Excel

When using ReportWorX Express, you interact with a special, context-sensitive tab on the Microsoft Excel ribbon labeled ReportWorX64. When you select this ribbon tab, the following options appear:

You can select the following buttons from this ribbon tab:

  • Tools and Actions

    • Login:Enter your credentials to access additional reports on the machine you are using.

    • Download Data: Downloads the data of the data sources present in the worksheet and shows them.

    • Stop Download: Stops the download of the data.

    • Clear Data: Clears the downloaded data from the worksheet.

    • Hide Log: Hides/shows the logging window during the download operation.

  • Configuration

    • FrameWorX: Opens the FrameWorX Server configuration window.

    • Configure Data Sources: Opens a lightweight version of the Workbench that allows you to configure the data sources.

  • Edit Data Source

    • Add: Adds an element relative to the data source to the worksheet.

    • Edit: Edits an element relative to the data source within the worksheet.

    • Remove: Removes an element relative to the data source from the worksheet.

  • Edit Parameters

    • Parameters: Opens the configuration window in the Parameters tab.

    • Turn Cell Into Parameter: Turns the currently selected cell(s) into a cell(s) parameter(s).

    • Delete Cell Parameters: Deletes the currently selected cell parameter.

  • Quick Edit Data Source

    • Display Name: Shows the name of the selected data source.

    • Fill Method: Use the pulldown menu to select the fill method for the selected data source.

    • Show Timestamp: True to show timestamp.

    • Show Headers: True to show headers.

    • Number of Rows: Enter the number of rows for the data source in the text entry field.

    • Date Time Format: Use the pulldown menu to select from dd-MM-yy; MM/dd/yy; M/dd/yy; dddd, M/d/yy h:mm tt; or ddd, dd, yyyy hh:mm:ss.

    • Double Format: Use the pulldown to select from 0; 0.0; #.0; 0.00; #.##; or #.###.

  • Miscellaneous

    • Open Lateral Data Browser: Opens a lateral tab with the data browser in order to drag and drop data source into the worksheet.

    • Quick disable: Disables/enables the functionality of ReportWorX in a quick way.

    • Hide comments: Hides or shows the comments of the data sources/parameters.

    • Auto fit data sources on download: Automatically fit the data sources when the downloaded data are shown on the worksheet.

    • Wrap long text on download: Automatically wraps long text when the downloaded data are shown on the worksheet.
