Adding Equipment Categories

In Workbench, you will add the top-level equipment asset category (TFMS), and then add the equipment-related devices, such as Tanks, Pumps, Valves, and so forth.

By default, Workbench installs preconfigured equipment, such as Water Treatment and WaterIrrigation. You can delete these items to reduce clutter in your project. To delete, right-click the item name, select Delete, and then click OK.

To add your equipment categories:

  1. Open Workbench.
  2. In Project Explorer, expand Assets, right-click Equipment, and then click Add Equipment.
  3. Enter the following information, and then click Apply & Close.
    • Name: TFMS
    • Display Name: Tank Farm Management System

  4. Under Assets >Equipment, right-click Tank Farm Management System, and then click Add Equipment.

  5. Add the first device listed in the following table and click New. Repeat until you have entered the last device, and then click Apply & Close.

  6. Click X to close the individual category panes and continue with adding equipment classes.
