Hyper Historian Tag Count

For licensing purposes, Hyper Historian Standard and Enterprise count the number of tags logged by Hyper Historian. This includes:

• Tags configured under Hyper Historian > Data Collections

• Equipment properties under Assets configured with a historical data source type of:

  • Hyper Historian Tag

  • Hyper Historian Calculated Tag

  • Hyper Historian Calculated Simple Events

  • Hyper Historian Calculated Condition

Hyper Historian Express does not count Hyper Historian tags. It counts GENESIS64 tags.

Tags that require both Hyper Historian and GENESIS64 tags

If a tag is used in Hyper Historian Standard or Enterprise and elsewhere in GENESIS64 (for example, GraphWorX64), it will require both a Hyper Historian tag and a GENESIS64 tag.

Depending on how it is configured, AssetWorX equipment properties with a Hyper Historian tag may or may not use a GENESIS64 tag. The equipment property will not require a GENESIS64 tag for simple historical logging, but it will require a GENESIS64 tag in any of these situations:

• The GENESIS64 tag counting mode is AssetWorX tag counting.

• The equipment property is being used in a client, such as GraphWorX64.

• The equipment property's Real-time data tab is configured to use one or more of these features:

  • Filtering by quality: Only Good

  • Use database cache

  • Always on scan
