Configuring a Sound/Text to Speech Agent
You can configure General settings, Empty the Agents Queue, and Report Hardware Failures.
The voice settings for speech are configured in the Speech Properties dialog box in the Windows Control Panel. Here you can change the voice type, pitch, speed, and volume. Select a voice type from the drop-down list.

Note: Volume is not always directly controlled by the speech engine; use your PC's volume settings instead. |
Within the MMX configurator you have the option to set the following settings:

In the AlarmWorX Multimedia Configurator, open the Configuration folder and expand Multimedia Agent. Double-click Sound/Text to Speech or right-click and select Edit from the shortcut menu.

Click the General Settings button to display the Multimedia Sound/Text to Speech dialog box.

Select the Voice Type from the drop down list.

Enable or Disable XML Override

Select the Pitch low to high

Select the Speed of talking slow to fast

Select the Volume low to high

Click OK.

Click the button Empty Agent's Input Queue if you want to delete what is in the agent's queue.

Click the down arrow and select how you want to Report Hardware Failures.

Click the Apply button to save your settings.
NOTE: ICONICS AlarmWorX Multimedia supports third-party TTS voices that are SAPI-compliant and 32-bit compatible.
