Variables
The Drill Down capability within Hyper Historian (and GridWorX) relies on the use of Variables to define:

Asset and Time Drilldown Dimensions

Source Data Variables

Aggregations to Calculate (Arithmetic, Time-weighted)
To Add a Drill Down Variable:

Start the Workbench, then expand your project. Next, expand the Historical Data node to show the Hyper Historian node. Expand the Hyper Historian node to show the Drill Down node.

Expand the Drill Down node to show the Variables node. Then, right-click the Variables node in the navigation tree and select Add Drill Down Variable, as shown in the figure below.

Select the Variables node in the Project Explore then click on the Add Drill Down Variable button, shown below, in the Edit section of the Home ribbon in the Workbench.

This opens the Drill Down Variable properties window, shown below, beneath the Project Details section in the Workbench. Enter a name in the Drill Down Variable Name text entry field.

- When you have finished,, click Apply to save your settings then Close to close the window.
