General Information

Launching Asset Builder

Asset Builder can be launched from the context menu of each Mitsubishi Electric FA hierarchy in the GENESIS64 Workbench or from the ribbon menu of Home tab. The following table lists the hierarchies which Asset Builder can be launched.

No.	Mitsubishi Electric FA hierarchy			Function Description
1	Mitsubishi Electric FA			Use Asset Builder to generate and update Device Groups, MELSEC communication settings, and tag settings.
2		Device Group		Perform the same steps as mentioned above.
3			MELSEC	Use Asset Builder to generate and update MELSEC communication and tag settings.

If the “MELSEC” hierarchy is selected when Asset Builder is launched, the CPU type has to match each template. For the available CPU types, refer to Specification .
